Union City.To support the organizational development of a senior peer-counseling program for low-income elderly women who are Afghan refugees.

Fremont. To support domestic violence outreach, prevention, and intervention services for Afghan women, and to provide health advocacy education services, including health education workshops and individual assistance in communicating with health providers.

Santa Cruz. General operating support for the provision of breast cancer services and resources for African American clients in the Central Coast area.

San Francisco. Funding to develop a Peer Resource model to provide technical assistance and training for agencies working on same-gender domestic violence and cultural competence.
BREAST CANCER ACTION $20,000
San Francisco. General operating support to educate the public about understanding breast cancer in political, economic, and social contexts and to organize women impacted by breast cancer to become advocates and take action on key issues.

San Leandro. To support the design and implementation of programs and services for formerly homeless women moving into transitional and permanent affordable housing at Bessie Coleman Court.

Santa Cruz. Providing career training and job placement assistance for low-income women on the Central Coast, and creating community and employer alliances to support this goal.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE $10,000
East Palo Alto. To support the Leadership Training Academy in their work to educate 75 young women about community needs, equip them to solve community problems, and prepare them to lead with confidence, skill, and compassion.
CRITICAL IMAGES INC./GIRL TROUBLE $10,000
San Francisco. To support the documentary Girl Trouble, chronicling a year in the lives of a group of young women and girls, ages 13 to 23, who created the first youth-run organization for girls in trouble, the Center for Young Women’s Development.
GIRLSOURCE $30,000 over two years
San Francisco. To deliver an eight-week leadership and activism curriculum to young low-income women across five Bay Area counties through the Young Women’s Community Leadership Program.
HIV EDUCATION AND PREVENTION PROGRAM OF SANTA CRUZ COUNTY $10,000
Santa Cruz. To support intensive case management and follow-up for previously incarcerated women to help them meet material needs upon release from jail, to provide support groups and skill-building classes, and to advocate in social, medical, and legal contexts.
LATINA LEADERS OF KERN COUNTY $10,000
Bakersfield. To perform an assessment of the needs of Latina women in Kern County and to provide funding for the work to obtain independent 501(c)3 status.
LEARNING & LOVING EDUCATION CENTER $10,000
Morgan Hill. To expand existing English and technological literacy programs to serve over 300 low-income minority women and children.
LIQUID FIRE PRODUCTIONS $5,000
San Francisco. To provide stipends for the artists participating in the creation of Liquid Fire IV, an interdisciplinary performance piece celebrating the erotic power of lesbians of color.
LYON-MARTIN WOMENS HEALTH SERVICES $20,000
San Francisco. To increase capacity for fundraising to expand their primary care program for low-income lesbians and other women.

Berkeley. To support Project SEED to foster the economic independence of women survivors of domestic violence by developing leadership skills and encouraging personal and professional growth.
NATIONAL CENTER FOR LESBIAN RIGHTS (NCLR) $10,000
San Francisco. To support three free legal workshops and one conference to address legal issues for LGBT elders around end-of-life health care, financial planning, and estate planning.
NETWORK FOR ELDERS $10,000
San Francisco. To provide comprehensive services to enhance independence and quality of life for the elderly in Bayview-Hunters Point through the Home Care Training and Services Program.

Oakland. To support hiring a consultant to develop a one-to-one mentoring program for lesbians of African descent between the ages of 18 and 25 in Alameda County.

Antioch. To provide 54 low-income Contra Costa County women with skills training and support to gain high-wage information technology employment.
OSA CENTER FOR INDIAN EDUCATION $10,000
Fresno. To support a Native Nutrition Talking Circle, which reinforces positive food habits and modifies nutritionally detrimental ones to reduce the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases among the Native American population.
PURPLE MOON DANCE PROJECT $10,000 
San Francisco. To continue and expand Strong/Fit/Flexible Workshops for Lesbians Over 50 and continue to work in collaboration with Old Lesbians Organized for Change (OLOC) and New Leaf Outreach to Elders. 
RALPH-JOHNNIE AND ASSOCIATES  $10,000 
Oakland. To fund therapy for women who have suffered extreme abuse and suffer from post-traumatic stress, and to hire a part-time therapist to facilitate classes for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. 
SACRAMENTO VALLEY ORGANIZING COMMITTEE  $8,000 
Sacramento. To fund a four-weekend leadership development training program for immigrant women focusing on health and education outreach.  
SEQUOIA COMMUNITY HEALTH FOUNDATION  $10,000 
Fresno. To support their Domestic Violence Program and to enable the hiring of a Domestic Violence Advocate. 
SWEATSHOPWATCH $10,000 
Oakland. To support continuing outreach, education, training and coordination of legal counsel to Bay Area garment workers about their workplace rights, including a new law which allows them to collect wages due from manufacturers whose labels they sew. 
WISH (WOMEN’S CRISIS CENTER IN SOUTHERN HUMBOLDT) $10,000
Garberville. To support staff by providing benefits, overdue salary increases, and training. 
WOMEN’S COMMUNITY CLINIC $20,000
San Francisco. To develop an infrastructure to ensure the sustainability of the Volunteer Clinician Program, 10 volunteer clinicians who provide preventive and educational health care to around 1,500 women each year.
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE FOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT (WILD) FOR HUMAN RIGHTS $10,000
San Francisco. To advocate for a new California law that will require all state legislation to be screened through a gender and race impact statement.
WOMEN’S SHELTER PROGRAM, INC. $10,000
San Luis Obispo. To create a standard protocol for domestic violence victims to use when filing for a temporary restraining order, to provide tools to assist women in gaining custody of their children, and to create a local legal resource directory in English and Spanish.
YOUTH GENDER PROJECT $10,000
Berkeley. General operating support for a youth/adult peer partnership to empower and support transgender, queer, intersex, and gender questioning youth and young adults.
