Programmatic work at the Women’s Foundation of California strives to support both individuals and organizations in achieving their social change goals. We believe that social change starts with the individual and gathers momentum within communities in order to create the space for systems and institutions to shift. The Foundation provides support in a variety of ways including strengthening non-profit policy advocacy, and strengthening young women's leadership.

About WESC

WESC was launched through the combined efforts and leadership of four regionally diverse women's funds—Chicago Foundation for Women, the Washington Area Women's Foundation, the Women's Foundation of California and the Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis. Working in collaboration with the Women's Funding Network, we seek to harness the voice and power of women's foundations nationwide to improve the lives of low-income women.
