The Foundation Center is the nation's leading authority on philanthropy and is dedicated to serving grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media and the general public. The Foundation Center's mission is to strengthen the nonprofit sector by advancing knowledge about U.S. philanthropy. The Center offers a wealth of resources relating to funding opportunities and fundraising, along with numerous other topics related within philanthropy. Many resources are available through the website; the Foundation Center is headquartered in New York and has a field office in San Francisco.
Grassroots Fundraising Journal

Grassroots Fundraising (GF) believes that fundraising is a critical and integral part of progressive social change. GF also believes that anyone can learn fundraising. For both those reasons, GF creates and distributes accessible materials that teach people how to raise money. GF publishes the bimonthly Grassroots Fundraising Journal, available in print and online, offering practical, how-to instruction on fundraising strategies such as direct mail, special events, major gift campaigns and online fundraising. In addition, it holds public workshops and provides helpful online tools.

Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training (GIFT) develops and strengthens the grassroots fundraising skills of people working for social justice specifically around building the capacity of progressive organizations to raise money and to increase the number of people of color in fundraising.

An initiative of the Tides Foundation, Groundspring.org is an online service that works to improve the effectiveness of the nonprofit sector by providing information technology solutions that facilitate and enhance communication and engagement between nonprofit organizations and their stakeholders. Groundspring.org does this by offering software tools and services, training, and consulting that help nonprofit organizations raise funds and communicate with their stakeholders online, and manage their operations more effectively.
